Watched Real Steel. It was like they needed to have so many robot fights to make it a robot movie so every other scene had to be a bonding moment.

IT WAS AWESOME.

FUCKING ROBOTS AND LOVE AND SHIT LIKE DAT.

Nah, Kick Puncher is played by Derek Mears (Jason from the recent F13th remake). I have absolutely no idea who that is in Manborg.

And that is a sentence I never thought I'd ever have to write.

This,

alone is more entertaining than most films out there.

But besides that. Watched Marie Antoinette again today. Great film for what it set out to accomplish (get one to see life from her perspective).

Watched Evil Dead with someone who has never seen Evil Dead and hasn't really watched any old video nasties or old cult films for that matter. I think he enjoyed it, regardless he will be subjected to Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness soon. Love that his first remark was ''Look at that guy's chin!'' :D
They say the pen is mightier than the sword... well, I say fuck the pen! Cause you're gonna die by the sword!

Yesterday I saw The Sweeney and Dredd (3D).

The Sweeney was utter bollocks. Lots of cockney geezers calling each other faaaacking slaaags, a paper thin plot that Mr Bean could have worked out quicker than this bunch of idiots I know the whole point was that they don't play by the rules, but the blatant disregard for rules/innocent bystanders is completely ignored by the powers that be, to the point Reagan and Carter are practically handed guns and told to go shoot up the place some more.
The shootout in trafalgar square is quite well done, but apart from that at 90 minutes, it's at least 60 minutes too long.

Dredd however was beautiful. The cinematography was stunning, the action well played and although mostly humourless managed to be quite tongue in cheek. Simple, but really enjoyable.
