It was going round in circles. Despite repeating points (numerous times in cases), nobody was getting through to anybody and it wasn't going anywhere. 4 pages dedicated to one point that was neither really metal-related, nor news. We mods have to read and keep up with what's happening on this forum. Patience was thin from the outset from the fallout of the Emperor thread.

The term "beating a dead horse" may be an appropriate summing up of the situation.

None, as long as it's productive and continues to be, but that discussion had clearly run its course and it was making my head hurt with how silly it was getting. It was no longer productive.

If I'd let it run we'd have had perhaps 2, maybe 3 pages of you trying to make your point, Czech's Mate and onona and perhaps one or two others making the same counter-points in a epic bid to make each other understand and accept viewpoints put clearly across really early on in the thread, and perhaps one or two comments taking the piss or asking when the torment will finally stop by a mod hand/finger/forehead/fist, before you finally realise this and agree to disagree and move on.

I was offended that I had to wade through and monitor all that bollocks, so I saved you all the trouble of the above.
