Yes. People hide themselves behind clothes and keep themselves clean-shaven because society (and in some cases law, religion and the environment) demands it. Hair dying is an interesting one, as some people do change their hair colour simply because they fancy a change, I don't have an opinion on that. Others dye their hair to hide greys to conform to society, and some dye their hair "unnatural" colours to rebel against society.
However, I'm not as anti-clothes/shaving/hair-dying as I am anti-makeup. Probably due to laziness.
