Yeah - it's piss easy to leave a temp job. You will almost certainly only need a weeks notice. Or if you don't really care about pissing off the agency you can just stop turning up though that's not really polite.

Looks like I got out of my old job at the right time - just been told they're planning a massive round of redundancies along with mothballing two of the manufacturing lines.

It's all good, I came clean with them and they're alright with the situation. People probably bail out all the time.

Amazing to think that this thread was originally posted by Lee all those years ago to push the boundaries as the then webmaster wouldn't let us have an off-topic section! In those days you could discuss Bloodstock, metal in general or nothing!

I remember starting a thread about Monty Python and it got locked! Then I suggested we have a proper OT board and soon after there was a big re-arrangement.

Bread roll but my knobhead West Midlands friends would call it a bap.

Like they call roundabouts 'islands.'

If it's hard then it's a cob.

If it's soft and floured it's a barm cake.

If it's somewhere in between then it's a roll.

So does Warburtons. But they are slightly soft to the touch like normal bread. So are bread rolls.

The one that Jobdone posted is a hard one :o and is classed as a cob.

Not even a regional thing either. Put crusty cob into google and the country is fairly well covered, with hits in the North, Midlands and South West just on the first page.

I could forgive 'cob' if it's a hard one. Otherwise, just no.
