Jono, you are growing seriously tiresome....I don't quite know why you have this agenda of late to start a pissing competition at every opportunity you can create, but it is rather boring so please refrain.

It is a message board, not a proving ground.

Jono's only partaking in a bit of friendly banter...

Imagine if you will the following situation:

You go out to Wraith in Norwich, the monthly 'metal' night. Norwich isn't exactly very metal, so a wide range of music is played to bring in the crowds. From previous experience this usually means nu-metal and pop punk. So hopes of a great night aren't high, although at least it will be better than the pop infested Australian Beach Party of the previous night.

The night starts with the usual bland rubbish. "Same old" you think. Then comes the metal. Metallica - Sad But True. Okay, so the older stuff is better, but it's still a great headbanging track. Then Pantera - Walk. Things are looking great. It gets yet better with Slayer - War Ensemble. Awesome, a great song, and a change from the usual Angel Of Death.

With the night looking like it's going to be great, the next song is eagerly anticipated...........Good Charlotte - Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous.

How exactly do you justify following War Ensemble with Lifestyles of The Rich and Famous?? The furious mass of headbangers quickly turned into a sea of puzzled faces. You try playing those 2 songs back to back. It sound so wrong.

It may sound shit, but apart from the odd blip they've managed to eliminate most the nu-metal and pop-punk. It was actually an awesome night, and the music was the best it's ever been while I've been here. Roots Bloody Roots was a nice suprise later on as well.

Whiplash nights are needed in all corners of the country. Everything good is up north.

On a totally unrelated note I'm being dragged to see Joe Pasquale in panto tonight. :|

Someone needs to make sure Alexi Laiho never breaks his wrist (or any other part of his arms/hands/guitar opperating system) again. He's a silly billy for breaking himself in the first place.
