Because fridge is a shortened name of a fridge company (cannot remember which, unfortunately my fridge knowledge is imcomplete) rather than the word refrigerator

That would be Frigidaire.

Actually I think it's just an alternative spelling based on the shortened word. When people talked about a refrigerator they shortened it to 'fridge' (as in 'phone' and 'TV') and spelling it 'frig' doesn't work phonetically. There is a 'dz' sound in 'refrigerator' and so the shortened word had to accommodate it, hence 'fridge'.

Come to the realisation that if I don't find a decent job in a year, I'll have to move to Australia.

I don't want to move to Australia..

My rents are moving there in September.
To be honest, while I know it'd be an awesome opportunity (and it's fucking Australia), my whole life is here in England. Plus, I'm 23, I don't want to be paid hourly and living with my parents anymore, I want to get started on my own, and with them moving away it's the perfect time to do it.

Mate. You have a massive dilemma on your hands and it's depressing to think about. Mainly because it reminds me of when I was 11 and my dad had told my mum that he'd seen this amazing well-paid job going in New Zealand, which would of course have meant relocating, starting a new life etc. Mum got really sick thinking about it but when he came home he said he wasn't serious.

If you stick about, you gotta find people to fall back on if shit happens. Also you'll probably go aeons at a time without seeing your folks and that could include christmasses, etc. If you move with them, you'll have to make a whole bunch of new friends. Might be fairly easy if you have the "oh, you're from England, awesome" thing. It might be impetus to move to your own place there eventually.

Who knows man. Something good would come of either choice, I'm sure.

Never seen the video for that song before.

Pretty sure Manics must have brought out a DVD at some point with all their videos on. Now they've got their own vevo thing, I needn't bother!

I have that DVD. Most of their videos aren't that good though.

I know, just for nostalgia's sake and all that. It's always novel seeing the videos for songs you listened the shit out of, no matter how naff the video is.
