Is it me or do political YouTube videos with "Banned video" smack of "this video wasn't ever banned but we'll say it is so people can feel edgy watching it"?

It's not just you. Playing the "we've been censored for our views!" persecution card is a tactic employed particularly by bigots.

Whatever happened to post pub TV on a Friday? We only had four channels back in the 1980s and '90s, yet there was always something decent on when you came home from the pub. Now there are loads of channels and it's all repeats and crap.

TV in general is pretty shit, tbh. Before Robot Wars started I hadn't properly watched TV in a long time, just Netflix, NowTV and Youtube. Even Robot Wars I just watch on BBC iPlayer.

There used to be a great pairing of Roseanne and Cheers on Ch.4 on Friday or Saturday (?) nights. The good thing about there being so few channels was that there were always a few people who'd watched the same as you so you could chat to them about it a day or two later. Community, society.
