Why not? Pig Destroyer are awesome.
I got 65, which is more than I expected judging by the genre of bands there.
Re: A free-for-all thread
Do the rioting students not realise that the multiple news crews filming them (a lot of which will be in HD) will be more than cooperative in handing all images of them over to the police..? I hope the cunts are found, kicked out of their unis and charged.
The one plus side of the raise in fees will be stopping twats like them going to uni in the future.

1) Confirmed it was mainly black and death metal so I'm wasn't gonna get many anyway and it's not a decent metal quiz then if it's so weighted towards only extreme metal
2) Constant double bass pedal isn't "awesome" music to me

What, you mean people who are willing to do something more than go for a walk to make their point? Clause 4, man. In 1997 Labour took a part out of Kier Hardie's manifesto for the Labour Party that said:
"To secure for the workers by hand or by brain the full fruits of their industry and the most equitable distribution thereof that may be possible upon the basis of the common ownership of the means of production, distribution and exchange, and the best obtainable system of popular administration and control of each industry or service"
'Hand' is a reference to physical resistance against those who are, in this case, crippling workers before they have a chance to start and will never see the 'full fruits' of their labours. It was removed because New Labour thought it'd scare the middle classes. And that's exactly why these fees and cuts have come around; the Baby Boomers have screwed the pooch so badly the only way to get themselves out of it and not risk their comfortable retirement (because, fuck, Hell will freeze over before that happens) is to take money away from the younger population.
You want something to change, then you've got to fight for it...they're not going to back down because of a peaceful protest, Nick Clegg has made himself the biggest traitor of the decade, turning his back on his policies in his election manifesto so he can sit in at No. 10. Give him a bit of power and he's just the same as Cameron or Brown.
Poll Tax Riots worked. The Peace March against the war in Iraq didn't. Figure it out.

Sorry, my socialism might be showing!

It's cool, I'm just very anti-violent protests - especially with the impending EDL march in Peterborough at the height of the xmas shopping period

Their website says 'peaceful protest against Islamic extremism', this smacks of a BNP-esque veneer. Is that close to the truth?

Do I go out and get really tasty (but really unhealthy) pizza, or do I cook some Pasta 'n' Sauce, which needs milk, which I have to go out and buy anyway?

Re: A free-for-all thread
Not really. There are plenty of twats at university. Though yes, there are also a good few decent, hardworking students who don't completely waste the time they spend at university, there are more twats than there should be.
There are also people who are at university but spend the whole time umming and aahing about whether it's for them, and before they know it, they've done it, and been saddled with a debt they could have avoided. So a rise in fees would make these people think twice.
EDIT: For God's sake, you know perfectly well he wasn't referring to those who can't afford it as 'twats'.
