Putting aside issues of reliability theyre more expensive than the far better equivalents. Theyre a fashion accesory for those with more money than intelligence.

I am guessing this is new out as if it'd been round a few years ago I would have bought one instead of the old iPod me being a Sony snob and all!

It was easy for Apple to drown the world in publicity, making the launch of a LOT of other perfectly good (superior even in a lot of cases) products barely noticable to most people.
