Time to start culling SJWs from Metal methinks. Going to spend all my spare time this festival season patrolling the campsite, pinning down and drawing swastikas all over anyone I hear talking about "non-binary Death Metal" or any fucking nonsense like that.

To be honest, metal as a whole has been occupied by most parts of the political spectrum for decades (see Napalm Death etc) and that was never a problem, it's just you've got that type of noisy megaphone student union rep type that everyone quietly hated at uni, mincing into every fucking environ they can and pontificating about such and such being problematic as if they run the show. But then again, mixed results because again, nobody can stand them. They should try some former Soviet states, see how far they get.

Just noticed today would have been Deadwing's birthday. It feels quite... odd to still see his user name pop up once a year.

Yeah. Different political schools have tried to claim metal as their own but it's just anti-mainstream, so can be 'left' or 'right' or neither depending on the lyrics. I can't stand this recent 'no-platforming' mentality.

I spent a while today formulating an excuse not to make it to the second wedding of the year. I think I am going to have a cold. Ill do the decent thing and decline invitations from now on, felt like I was put on the spot and accepted without thinking.

So, being a Clubcard owner, Tesco send me 6 weeks' worth of "£X off when you spend £30 or more" coupons, marked week 1, week 2 etc etc.

Week 2 is actually two weeks after Week 1, the idea blatantly being that you'll assume week 2 is the week after without checking, then when you're at the checkout you find out and you just go "aw fuck it" and pay for your shit anyway, after going out of your way to grab £30+ worth of stuff.

Nice try, Tesco.

Don't they get taken off automatically at the till now?

If not, you can always redeem them online.

Local pub/live music venue back home saved by a kickstarter with the help of Rob Halford and a lot of publicity locally https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/10 ... ts/1518011

It's all well and good saving them from closure now, but most of these people didn't go before (hence the fundraising), and probably won't in a few months time, and the place will be in the same predicament before long. Glad it's survived but I can't see it lasting long.

Help us to open the UK's first Community Rock Pub and Venue: The Sir Charles Napier in Blackburn, Lancashire.

Been done before on numerous occasions. :P

I hope it's a success. But I've seen so many of these projects fail. Problem is with these type of "community" projects is everyone wants different things and it gets fragmented.

Looking at the original plans with the "SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE" is ominous. Live TV sport, pub quizzes and food don't normally work in Rock venues in my opinion. You can usually get that cheaper/better elsewhere and your regulars get pissed off when they want to listen to music and someone puts the match on or vice versa. I've even been in a wild west style barroom brawl over somebody putting the jukebox on during a match.

My Grandad is looking forward to it. He's beaten the Grand Champion nearly every year in the history of the show, now he's got the added advantage over the players in the studio of not having to bother with cunting OFCOM.

My flight got invaded by police at BHX after it was found some woman was molesting someones child at the back of the plane. Delayed me even further than the original hour late it was. Some people are so selfish.
