I now find myself going straight to the BBC main page to see who's next :O(

RIP Jimmy Bain - bass player for Rainbow (Rising, On Stage..), classic era Dio, Wild Horses, Gary Moore, Phil Lynott's, and recently headlined the Sophie Stage in Last In Line.

Terry Wogan RIP - long career and seemed comfortable with his own cheesiness - probably why he could get away with an anal sex joke at 8 in the morning...

Another case of "don't die on the same day as some one more famous than you" - Frank Finlay.

RIP both. And Jimmy Bain that I somehow missed. :(

Jimmy Bain. The bass player on at least three classic albums and a few more good ones as well.

Including Rainbow On Stage I'd say 5 or 6 classics (I never can decide if Dream Evil is as good ad the first 3 or not)

BMX legend Dave Mirra and hardcore wrestling legend Axl Rotten, both by apparent suicides. I wish I still had my playstation as I really want to play some Dave Mirra BMX and ECW Anarchy Rulz right about now.

Absolutely gutted. One of my favourite bands of recent years and they seemed to be on the up and up. They've been posted things from the studio in the last few days so really don't know what has happened here

Blooming hell. We were discussing Father Ted on Friday. :(

18 years to the day that Dermot Morgan died.
