The Sweet's bassist Steve Priest has passed away. RIP. Great band. Unique sound in the glam era.

Ian Holm died on Friday aged 88. He was in some interesting films including The Naked Lunch, The Fifth Element as well as the Tolkein stuff.

I'll always remember him for his creepy portral of Ash in Alien. Terrific actor.

The worst news I've heard in a few years. Devastating.

I'm lost for words at this news to be honest. It's tragic.

Nightmare Logic is such a good album and due to illness, badly timed holidays and covid I'll never get the chance to see them.

yeah, a real sickener this one :(
he was such a good frontman.

this is a really poignant passage of an interview Metal Hammer posted:
“Death doesn’t hit me very hard. I internalise it a lot. I sort of think it’s a relief. I think that when you die, you die. You have your borrowed time, and no amount of grieving is gonna bring anyone back. I believe the burden of life being taken off somebody is nice. Whatever is happening, even if it’s nothing at all, is better than life, I guess. That’s really negative-sounding, but it’s not negative; it’s actually very freeing to think about! You got this life, go for whatever you wanna go for. Go for your biggest dreams, and if you fail, become a fucking drunk. Be a bum in the street and piss yourself, because who cares? There’s so many people in this world, and everything moves so fast, who cares about trying to make history anyway? You might as well just live your life the way you want to.”

Chadwick Boseman

Now that's fucked up, young and an awesome actor. Hope the Black Panther series can still continue, he'd have wanted it to.
