Alexi Laiho. I didn't see that coming. I always liked a bit of COB, but I have friends who thought they where amazing, they will be gutted. R.I.P

Haven't listened to Bodom in ages (wasn't even aware they'd broken up until I read the news about Laiho), but I used to be really into their music. 41 is no age to die at. RIP. :(

Real loss. Way to young.

No cause of death as yet..but apparently had long-term illness.

Joey Jordison ex Slipknot. Remember seeing him filling in for Lars of Metallica at Download 2004.

Fantastic drummer.
We seem to be losing quite a few these last 12 months.
The last 4 weeks alone has seen Joey, Mike Howe(Metal Church), Jeff LaBar (Cinderella) and Johnny Solinger (Skid Row).
RIP to them all, gave me some great memories.

Saw them once at Hellfest, they were fun.

It keeping coming. Oh dear. I wasn't the biggest fan overall but ZZ top was one of the first 'heavy...ish' bands I was drawn to as a kid. The beards are a cornerstone memory, just like kiss's makeup and Ozzy in the bark at the moon video. RIP.

Mike Howe of Metal Church (suicide, apparently), Dusty Hill and Joey Jordison over the space of just a couple of days.
What a shit week.

Followed his career since 15 stories high on BBC 3. Saw his stand up live. Excellent comedian. RIP
