Sounds good to me already.

But is England really stable itself? If this English Parliament thing gets going then the North East or even the whole North will eventually get pissed off with the Tory domination of domestic politics and it becomes the Scotland issue all over again. Maybe this will eventually happen:

So we need to ditch wales and the frozen northern defunct coalmine-y type places too?

This just gets better and better!

Nah. That map's the one when the sea level rises more than an inch and the Southerners all drown. :D

We can afford to build 20 foot seawall.

It's when you northern socialists all realise that sea levels have continued to rise and you vote to raise taxes on those evil rich southern landowners that it'll get funny.

"What do you mean they've disowned us and there's nowt we kin do about it?"

Better man the shovels and forget about that industrial action you were planning.

I've been called many things before. But socialist? That's a new one.

You can't even build sea walls to protect all that land in the SW that flood after a drop of rain. One big wave stops all your trains for months. Hope you all like living on Dartmoor.

as a yorkshireman i will admit there are cultural problems in the north, especially west yorkshire, outside of the affluent hamlets and villages. i don't think it's a simple lack of money either, although many do. I think a lot of people are poorly educated, including what I would call life long learning and are a bit culturally deprived. I mean that in a bit of an old school way though, so more not having read much history or eaten fine European cuisine than failed to see the beauty of modernist stuff and multiculturalism.

Yep. Lack of education = lack of grammar. :P

Maybe that's why nobody takes anything that you post seriously as it's like reading something that a very young child has written.

Interesting that Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and Rutland are on the south side of that line, whereas Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire Aren't.

That would mean Skegness was in the South.

Unlike Wales or Scotland becoming independent, dividing England would mean having to decide exactly where to draw the line and that argument could take decades.
All right, so I MADE a mistake! ONE MISTAKE!
Can't a man start over?! Do I have to keep on PAYING?! HUH?!
Maybe I should make another mistake! ...maybe TWO more!

That image is nothing political. That image is the curry sauce/gravy preference on chips.

Mini fish and chips with chili sauce and a pair of pickled eggs kinda makes me a bit wet downstairs.

...and just so we're clear, not in a Tewkesbury way.

I like curry sauce right over fish n chips. The quality of curry sauce is an irrelevance, it cuts through the grease and makes the whole thing leave less of a ghastly aftertaste.
