Whether you vote yes, whether you vote no, we can all agree that Piers Morgan is a Grade A Whalloper

I was gonna say he's Welsh but . . .
Piers Stefan O'Meara was born on 30 March 1965 in Newick, East Sussex, England, to Vincent Eamonn O'Meara, an Irish-born dentist, originally from County Offaly, and Gabrielle Georgina Sybille (née Oliver). His father died when Piers was one year old and his mother subsequently remarried. He has three older step-siblings.

Poll from 3rd August:

What I find the most interesting is that of the six major polls, only two show 'Yes' at a majority, the other three have no majority with the No/Yes/Undecided at 46/37/13, 41/32/27, 45/34/21, 48/41/11.

I'm pro-independence (as you've probably guessed) and I don't think it'll go through, but regardless how you view it, it's really significant that the majority of Scots aren't necessarily pro-Union.

There'll be another vote in 20 years time and I'm certain it will happen then.

I think there might well be another vote in about 20 years, but what if the EU has collapsed by then? Would that make a difference to the outcome?
EDIT: It might go the other way and become a U.S.E. and Scotland joining that would lose independence.

By the way, do you think people of majority Scottish ancestry living elsewhere should be allowed to vote in the referendum? Or are you happy to say that a Scot is any British citizen living in Scotland?

I think if someone lives here and plans to stay they should be allowed a say, if someone lives somewhere else and has no plans to come back they should not be allowed a say. Nationality is not important.

I think if you live there then it effects you even if you are a Polish builder. As long as that Polish builder is eligible to vote in elections he should have a say.

If you are a tax exile in The Bahamas then you can go fuck yourself Mr Connery.

I'm father jealous of the Scots. Any chance us Lincolnshire folk can have an independence from the self serving tossers at Westminster referendum?

Yes. But they still point at those big dragons that swallow up people at places called 'bus stop' and mysteriously spits them out at another place called town in Lincolnshire.

I want Solihull to gain independence from the West Midlands and be reintegrated to where it belongs, in Warwickshire. Make it happen please. Only official border checkpoints being on the Stratford Road just outside Tesco's, on the Warwick Road just after Olton railway station and guard towers all along the Coventry Road. Brick up the other hundred thousand roads crossing into Birmingham. Severe the railway lines. Barb wire, guard dogs the fucking works.

Oh and we'll be taking our airport with us as well.

I don't see what they're going to do when the north sea gas / oil shit runs out and also, how well their financial stuff will pan out seeing as nobody seems to even know what currency they will have.

Let 'em go.

Along with all their slippery 6-fingered celtic cousins.

If it were feasible I'd separate their landmasses from us and move them into the mid-Atlantic to be our new nuclear testing area.

Alas it isn't to be.

So, you lot can have your own countries, your own currencies, your own military etc. Your independence campaigns seem to be long on "we're going our own way" while being short on "we'll stop sharing your institutions". Grow up and stand on your own two feet.

Oh and if your bufoniform CND reject socialist leaders want to make your new country an anti-nuclear haven, Plymouth is all too happy to accept your nuclear submarine maintenance deal. Sorry about the job losses...
