Most of the anime movies (besides the Ghiblis) I've seen are basically just fanservice for fans of the series -- Steins;Gate, Ano Hana, Air, Sailor Moon, Digimon, Pokemon, Card Captor Sakura, Tenchi..

Other than that, there's Black★Rock Shooter, Nerawareta Gakuen, Haruhi (okay, this one's mostly Yuki fanservice), Clannad (somewhat different story to the anime), and Advent Children (which isn't really anime).

Has anyone seen the Shakugan no Shana movie? I watched the first 10-15 minutes of it after I finished the series but it just seemed to be the same as the series so I turned it off. Should I have kept it on for some alternative ending or something?

I'm about half-way through Guilty Crown and I can conclude that it is awesome.

Also the last two episodes of Hellsing Ultimate came out in the english dub. Also pretty damn great.

Just finished watching Paranoia Agent. Had some really good moments, but felt like a bit of a cop-out ending. Worth a watch, though.

I have no finally seen Cowboy Bebop in it's entirety. It is fucking glorious.

Also watched the first season of Sword Art Online, which is worth checking out. Now I'm trying to catch up with Fairy Tail, the longest running pantomime in history.

Code Geass is brilliant! One of the best written tv series I've seen in ages.

Also I recommend you watch the Abridged Series on youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adw2au_IdcE

It's surprisingly funny

Yeah Bebop is fucking awesome. Wasn't sure whether to watch it as its not usually my cup of tea but so glad I did. Although Ed annoys the fuck out of me hah

Guy on TS found out I enjoy anime but haven't watched it for a while, so we're burning through series.

About halfway through Steins;Gate. Slow to get going, but gets fucking amazing after that.

After about episode 8 I was completely glued. Better writing and storytelling than most western things I've seen. Probably one of the best anime series I have ever seen.

Yeah, 1-6 were really funny and kinda interesting, but not immediately gripping like some animes.

But after that, it all starts kicking off and going batshit and then when I'm drawn in.
