Sounds like bullshit to me. "Worst he's ever felt" and "couldn't lift his arms" and then plays a show on the drums... sounds legit. I know the NHS isn't the greatest but self-entitled twathammocks don't help things by insisting they jump the queue and then slating it because he couldn't be rushed through for his mystery illness.

Absolutely. If he was really an emergency then they'd have called a replacement to pick him up and waited with him until it arrived. This is where the "tough love" thing that people mentioned earlier would have come in handy. However I appreciate that it's not as simple as just telling people how it is, as there's so much red tape and caution about how things are worded nowadays before you even go into how the patient may react to the news.

Out of interest, how is he now? Did he go to hospital after the show, or today? Because if he's made a miraculous recovery, then surely he is now just openly being a cunt about it all. If he's better, he'd have been wiser to have removed last night's post and apologised to anyone offended and thanked those who wished him well - as well as giving re-assurance to anyone with tickets to the other shows.

It would seem he's still on the tour, played the gig in Belgium the night after and is playing Paris tonight.

I love how we all moan about the NHS pretty much incessantly, but as soon as a foreigner starts mugging it off we leap to its defense

Leyland.

All owned by foreigners I'm afraid. Jaguars and Land/Range Rovers are Indian and Minis are still German I think.

But Megadeth did do a song called Rust In Peace that could be about BL. An Austin Allegro is the only car that I've ever known that the floor has dropped on to a motorway due to rust. Or was it a Morris Marina?

Even the best of the best of the best, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars is owned by BMW.

No bad thing, to be fair. The V8s that power their 7 series is what is in a lot of the RR cars.
Who the hell reads anything in sigs these days, unless it's an animated gif?

This is why people thought Ladas were good. My Grandad had one of those fiberglass box things that can't biodegrade with the concrete suspension and steering and still says it was the best car he ever owned. He has a Skoda Fabia now. Appallingly bad taste in cars he has.

Well there you go then, Portnoy ripped on the one thing that is British i.e. the NHS so we have to defend it, unless he wants to rip on Libor scandal or something

Funnily enough nearly every car around Liverpool was a Ford. This was mainly due to the fact that they gave money off vouchers to the staff worth about a quarter of the price of a new car. Also valid for relatives. So everyone had a relative working in Ford. ;)

New car every year and the old one was sold on. You hardly ever saw anything that wasn't a Cortina, Escort, Granada, Fiesta, Capri, Sierra, etc.

Bit like VW group cars in Crewe - Bentley staff could get great deals and there were loads of Audi TT's and Golf GTI's knocking about. A mate had a new car every 6 months - TTs, S3's Siroccos
She wanted nothing...and I delivered
