You should uninstall Apple Music

Postby Tet » Thu May 05, 2016 5:56 pm

I know Apple have long been a company with a lack of ethics and an active dislike of their customer base, but this is really going above and beyond what I expected of them:

But.. to uninstall Apple Music, I would first have to install it, and I have enough sense to never do something like that. :eyes:

Plus I don't think they even support Linux..

Apple being Apple, just the latest in a long line of them treating their audience with little regard.

Although does raise the question, if someone had their own copyrighted compositions stored on their cloud service and altered without their permission, wouldn't that leave Apple open to a lawsuit?

It's bigger than that. They're creating copies of copyrighted works that they don't have a licence to.

Yes, they have deals with some major labels, but not every label.

The worst bit? They'll probably get away with it, too.

Give the small labels a sweeter deal to quickly get a license?

Saying that, I know it's only recently become legal to create back up copies of cd's in the UK, so then Apple would break the law in a country without a similar law since they've just created a copy? Also what happens if it's an illegal copy to begin with...

Actually interested to see the legalities of all this, shame there is no article about it
