I think we need something to discuss food, and the previous one went wondering.

Prawn katsu stir fry. Damn, it's a good curry sauce which I'm going to be using a lot more.

I went to Biblos On The Hill and had a falafel wrap washed down with a pint of Brahma. I'm in a good mood, today.

Our carrots, beans and peas are all nearly ready. I think they will meet their nirvana with a big slow cooked beef dinner.

We grew a chilli plant back when we lived in Wales but we tied to it the mountainside during high winds and forgot to untie it and bring it in that winter. Sadly and rather predictably it could not withstand the Snowdonian winter.

Too many birds eye chillies

Super noodles. This time with chicken flavouring, because I need the calories.

Followed a couple of hours by a splendid haddock and chips from the chippy.

Pushing my boundaries.

My sister took me out for dinner to thank me for helping her move some furniture. She gets a staff discount on food so I went for the finest stuff they had. Excuse the bad photos.

Bangor crab tortellini and stuffed tomato with tomato consommé and basil gel, and a bottle of Hilltown Massey Red.

Image

Rack of lamb, confit shoulder faggot and shank and black pudding pastille served on burnt leeks, cauliflower textures, mint gnocci and cauliflower puree, truffle and potato mash (not pictured) and a bottle of Lacada Salamander Stout.

White chocolate and rhubarb delice with brandysnap, rhubarb sorbet and rhubarb gel.

Tried making this, but forgot hazelnuts so whipped down to Co-op and got some cashews instead. Success. Also mine was more creamy than in the photo.
