Going way back - a Chris Slade thread got deleted due to 'copyright infringement', more due to the constant piss taking of the PR
Austin Dickinson trying to get the forum onside for Rise To Remain
One school age lad who used to write long essays cut and pasted from Wikipedia and lecture posters about bands they'd seen before he was born

He had many amusing commentaries about various things, and continues to do so on Facebook. Among those I saved include:

Metalchemyst wrote:It was a good, lively forum for over ten years. Might still have been if it hadn't been for that last 'update'. Or was it starting to fade anyway?

It was maybe a little past its heyday, but it was still a well populated and viable place to interact with other festival goers. But the last update killed it off. And they don't care.

There was already a clear drop-off to be fair, comparing my posts in 2010/11 (or even 2012/13 if we want to skip out the early argument filled years) to 2014/15 shows a massive decline, and similar ones could be seen of many of the top 20-30 posters (with a good quarter or so leaving completely between 2012 and 2015.

However, you could easily argue we were starting to get some 'new blood' in just when they killed it off, which was certainly a real let down. :(
