although i would like a pet snake, it would have to be too small to eat/constrict me, and definitely non venomous :lol:

When I was really young we had a pet snake in our house. Apparently it escaped and was never seen again.

One of my friend's colleagues moved into a new house and found the previous owner's pet snake round the back of the toilet. :o

Most snakes available in pet shops and such are corn snakes - it'd still hurt if one bit you, but they're pretty harmless :)

yeah i was looking at those a while ago. i think they're the most sensible option as well, particularly for a first reptile. my local pets at home has 2 royal pythons but they're like the one in the picture i posted.
