How ridiculously round-about and difficult it is to complain against an NHS Hospital. Procedure states complain on the day (I did, I was ignored) and then complain to the local PCT.

PCT website - complaints against hospitals cannot be dealt with by the PCT, it's only for local health services (GPs, dentists, opticians etc.)

Hospital website - there's about five different methods all of which seem superfluous as they all end in the same procedure.

Speak to anyone on their payroll, however, and they'll piously and viciously argue that it is beyond criticism and that you are an anti-welfare Tory who wants to destroy the NHS. Which is exactly why any kind of reform will not work; the NHS will cut off its nose to spite its face in reaction to any change.
