Do you use it much? How do you feel about it?

Completely pointless website. It annoys me when websites (especially news websites) integrate it into their pages, and I find it especially annoying when somebody writes an essay on it. If you have to split your message into seven parts, then you're using the wrong website to convey your message.

Don't use it myself. I always thought of it as a less well policed version of facebook, but as they seem to have started to censor it more it seems, indeed, rather pointless.

I probably use it more than Facebook these days, mainly for football news reasons.

Very much this. It's a terrible platform for virtually anything. Microblogging is a horrible fad, and people are having to find way around that (splitting a post over multiple messages, posting images of text to get around the character limit, etc). There are no sensible tools for searching, threading, filtering or many other things. But at the same time, even if the platform is horrible, the value of a social media platform comes from the people using it. And there are a lot of people using Twitter, which gives it some value.

I never signed up to it but went through a stage of reading what people were tweeting about and it just makes you end up hating humanity. It's unhealthy. None of it makes sense. Like someone like Piers Morgan will purposely tweet something controversial then you'll get a hundred people arguing about it.....like why bother. Why would you argue on behalf of a celebrity.
It's quite funny to read twitter whilst watching naked attraction though ha ha.

I used to think forums distorted communication but Twitter is much worse. It seems designed to bring out the worst in human nature and is full of people making snap judgements.

Just seems like a place for celebs to fight with each other, Trump to go off on one and the odd decent meme.

It just seems to be a Twitter hashtag on that subject. I'm not going to investigate further!
