Can't we just accept that some french people are dickish and others aren't?! Pretty sure it's the same in any country.

Agreeing with you here. I've met plenty of dicks on all the countries I've visited. Most places in europe are pretty similar.

Funny thing is, i've never seen that kindness repaid when i've seen French people abroad in England, Spain or Ireland, and my Grandad has a few stories as well that i'm too young to remember about cuntish French guests when we went to Tunisia. And even more stories about them being standoffish when he had to cater for 400 of them on an RAF base in Cyprus. They've got the reputation as the most demanding and least thankful guests in the hotel I worked in (and as a hotel catering mostly to business conferences and being right across the road from the NI parliament buildings, we do get a lot of them) and by far the rudest customer i've ever seen while working in restaurants was a French woman complaining about the size of her langoustines, even though the bigger one's she's used to at home almost certainly came from the same Irish waters as the one's we served her.


None of this is conclusive, but to be fair you're sweeping statements are every bit as idiotic as Mike's.
