I think workplace relationships can work if, as others have said, it's kept professional. When you're in work you're in work, not touching up your other half. Sickly public displays of affection are bad at the best of times, let alone in a professional environment.

Very true. I can understand how so many people consider work relationships a no-go. But it does depend on your working circumstances and whether or not you can remain professional. I know for a fact that over the years there has been some serious genital chess played in various inappropriate locations in my workplace.

Yeah, to be fair I don't think it's a particularly healthy way to have a relationship. Sometimes you need time apart from each other and the idea of being forced into seeing one another in the workplace after an argument or something sounds pretty hellish.
