I don't get open relationships. Perhaps I'm just really old fashioned, but if I'm with someone I like to be 100% loyal and dedicated to them and them only, and I would expect nothing less back. There is nothing more comforting and happy than being in a good, healthy relationship with someone you love, and who loves you back.

When im old enough and have had all my fun and know what the hell love is all about. Then i will agree with you.

But im young, my career comes first. Even though i dont know what the fuck love is all about, i do care deeply for my friends and the people i have the open relationships with. as long as your clear what the rules are and arnt one of those people who has the whole jaelousy issue. Its actualy really simple. And its perfect untill i find Mr Right. All the guys ive dated ive known have not been right for me, so now instead of going into a relationship, pretending to have that emotion of love. I just be honest with them. I care for you, but your not the one, i would like your friendship and sex would be fun too.

I guess it differs quite a bit from person to person. I'm only 22 and I'd be quite happy to find that special someone to spend the rest of my life with tomorrow. The sad thing is, I did, but unfortunatly things didn't work out

Deffo person to person difference - I'm 19 and quite settled with Lee, I'm not doe-eyed and silly about it and "oooo we're going to be together 4eeeeeeeva!!" and all that crap, but we're happy and for now that's more than enough for me

We can put up with each others annoying traits without too much complaint - thats good enough

The problem with open relationships is that sometimes you might go into a normal relationship not expecting much, and within time it develops to a new level.
the problem with open relationships is that you may find one of the party begins to discover new feelings, and then it goes wrong.
That said, your both consenting adults and you know what works for you more than anyone else, so have fun .

Yeah we talked all about the emotions getting involved. But the good thing about the people im in these type of relationships with, can care about other people at the same time and dont have the whole jealousy thing.

But yeah its deffenitly not for everyone. It all depends on who you are and what you want.

I completely agree, ive been with the same girl for 3 and 3/4 years now. And i have no desire to change that.
