My horoscope lied to me today.
Now, normally I don't think much of horroscopes but todays one said, in no uncertain terms and without the usual flowery bollocks, that I will meet someone today who will be 'too good to be true' (Something to do with Venus aparantly...).

Lying fucking hippies...

If they were supposed to be "too good to be true" then surely it was a good thing you didn't meet them, because too good to be true means they sound amazing but actually arent.

I was taking the piss tbh. Horoscopes aren't my thing (except when they're right, then I come over all new age).
And it could be argued it was true, working in a shop I meet hundreds of new people all the time

I've never tried this whole 'long distance relationship' malarkey...but from what I can see I have came to the following conclusion:

Pros: More appreciative of other half. The sex is bitchin' when you don't see each other as often. Less arguments. Independence.

Cons: Less sex. Apparently forgetting you have an other half ( ). Lots of travelling.


Looking at my list I must say, I'd be willing to give it a go. Offers?

I say go for it Alex. Distance works. I live about an hour and ahalf on the train from my boyfriend and I see him every week/every couple of weeks for a few days each time and it's ace. I reckon it'll work for you if you want it to.

I had a girlfriend who lived in Chester which was a 3 hour train journey every time I wanted to see her. It was fine until she interpreted "let's not see each other for a while because of exams" for "We're breaking up and you're going to get a new boyfriend in the next 3 days". Also if you break up it's not awkward at all because you never have to see them! And you can say what you like and it wont get back to them if you play your cards right.

My ex lived in Glasgow and it was a 4 hour trek from my home in the middle of nowhere to Glasgow Central. We tried to visit each other every other week rotating who does the travelling and it was fine until uni made the journey much, much harder. And her parents didn't allow her to stay over at mine, which made things particularly gay seeing as we couldn't spend a weekend together when she came to Blackpuddle.

Long distance is fine though, its not like you can't still talk to each other and stuff. And seeing each other after a wait is fantastic... leaving ain't though .

Glasgow is nice. Terrifying, but nice. You've got science museums and art galleries and statues with cones on .
