Pretty much, but many people don't want to admit their involved in that kind of thing due to high amounts of stigma towards it

I should clarify this is a girl i've liked for a while but only tried to initiate last night on the way back to mine, essentially to see whether she'd be staying in my room or on the sofa. She stopped me when i tried to kiss her and said she only wants to be friends. So then back at mine we stay up in the living room talking and she asks if she can see my room. Cut to cuddling in bed, which leads to semi-naked cuddling and kissing. More a mix of guilt (because i was drunk and a bit upset over the whole thing) and maybe a bit of horniness on her part (as I don't think she's been with anyone since she broke up with her last fella) than her than being into NSA or whatever.

She went down to sleep on the sofa when I started to snore, then we cuddled for a bit more before she left this morning. No awkwardness but it was definitely a one time thing. I only really see her weekends and when there's gigs on any how i've got time to get past this anyway before I see her next.

Well it looks like my hopes of getting back with Beth were a bit too presumptuous, despite Tuesday/Wednesday being amazing and there being lots of kissing, cuddling and bed sharing.

Basically, I went round hers yesterday, slept the night and generally had an amazing weekend. However, Steve (guy she fancies at uni) asked her out Friday night, and now it seems she's decided that she's not interested in getting back together with me. Well fuck.

Mate, uni is usually a relationship killer anyway. You'll both make a whole new circle (or multiple circles) of friends and inevitably not be as close with people back home, and if the relationship was obviously on the rocks anyway, it's not worth trying to force it to work. Moving away from your hometown for most of the year is a whole new stage in your life anyway.
