I've never been to a festival where there's been any kind of exciting destruction
well apparently there was at Download last year but that must have been when I passed out half in half out my tent
The Relationships Thread
Re: The Relationships Thread
Tbh if someone tried to burn the only place I had to sleep in that night I might feel to join in the 'tribal' behaviour by actually murdering them.
Re: The Relationships Thread
Metallica destroyed everyone else at that festival. Like, I knew they were going to be good, but I did not expect them to be that good, you know? Probably helped that they played the entirety of Master of Puppets. I'm not sure why people rag on Download all the time, I've only been twice but I've loved it both times. I know the line-up can be a tad questionable at times but it always provides very fond memories.
EDIT: Oh look at all those extra posts. This is in response to Charley re: Download '06, rather than me just rambling incessantly.

I've been 3 times and it's been amazing all of those times.

Re: The Relationships Thread
I was talking to someone I work with who went to Download in 2006 who was saying "Oh yeah, it was great everyone decided to have a massive party and set fire to everything. People said it was a riot but we were just having fun, they needed to fucking chill and join in the party"
He got fired for stealing. A link there maybe?

Nah, I went to the camp where it was apparently the worst and yes, most things were on fire, but the riot police were definately not needed

If I could go back anywhere in time it would be Download 06. As if I missed it due to GCSEs. What good did they ever do me?

Re: The Relationships Thread
For me, it was literally a couple of days after my AS levels. Great way to celebrate the end of exams for that year.

What the fuck's the past 4 pages got to do with Relationships? Talk about derailment...
Who the hell reads anything in sigs these days, unless it's an animated gif?

Apparently you're only allowed to be happy in this thread if you're on a derailment!
