yes france has many regional cultures etc and they're all shit. french people are, for the most part, dicks. there definitely seems to be a higher percentage than anywhere else, including britain which is saying a lot.

funny i spent twelve months in two different regions but didn't meet anyone as obnoxious as half the people on this forum.

i believe it because i've been there several times and met many more dicks than genuinely nice french people

Agreeing with you here. I've met plenty of dicks on all the countries I've visited. Most places in europe are pretty similar.

I still don't like France very much though.

pretty much every French person I've ever met has been incredibly chilled out and friendly and couldn't be more accommodating and lovely.

but you know the fact that I have made every effort to not be a total arse of a tourist, speak French to them and not treat them like they're going to be a dick

it's insulting because no one there, not one person acted with the prejudice i see over here. yes, it's something i feel passionate about. i get upset because it feels as though you are insulting the people i know and love - even though this isn't the case.
