Got with the woman of my dreams for 2 weeks after 6 years of turmoil, only to be told "we have awesome chemistry, and I really like you, but I have a slight doubt about whether we would work so I don't want to take it any further".

The timing was impeccable. Was at hers, at 01:30 in the morning in Milton Keynes with no way of getting back and having to stay in her bed. Long night.

WTF? The lesson is to never have feelings. I'm going to go back to soullessly banging girls I don't care about and committing my heart to SATAN.

A few of my mates went to see Prodigy there back in 2010, 3 of the guys were in a relationship (all went with their girlfriends). One got dumped whilst there and the other 2 a week or 2 later.... Cursed I tell you man.

Without going into too much detail it was a really complicated situation anyways and I have, errrm I guess it's kinda like a form of abandonment issues from growing up. Anyways we both had Friday off and she told me to plan something, so I planned this epic day and when I asked on Friday morning what time she wanted to meet she took ages to respond and cancelled without any reason. Bearing in mind we spent all Thursday evening with each other she kinda could have told me then.

I got a bit annoyed and a couple of hours later said something along the lines of that I feel she was being really on/off with me. She got proper pissed off and this morning she decided to end it cos she want to take it really slow and doesn't think I can handle it. Even though I have no problem with taking it slow and told her this numerous times, it's how hot and cold she was with me that got to me.

Ah well, like I said it was a proper complicated situation we were in so it's probably for the best.

Sounds like she was kind of taking you for a ride there mate. Although it probably doesn't feel it, probably is for the best! Happened with me in my last relationship, just wish folk would be more honest instead of dithering about being hot-and-cold; it's really not healthy for the person on the recieving end but I can't help but feel it's a ploy to creat a get out cause, 'cause if you were anything like me you'd have gotten royally fed up with it.

"Lets take it slow" generally means "I'm not really sure I want anything serious right now and would like someone for emotional/sexual release as and when I require it, please don't get attached or think too much into it".

It would be much better if people were just honest about these things.
