My Mum does flowers so did much more than we would have got for that and she spent £300ish.

You save alot of money by doing your own invites too, my Mum ended up doing ours as well :)

Yeah invites are now our #1 priority as it's now just over T-minus 7 months.

If I can get an off-white textured card or something I can just print them off at work - the cost will be the sheets of card (A4, should be able to get 4 invites per sheet) and the postage; my mum is gonna deliver as many as she can by hand too.

EDIT: Just noticed I have Publisher 2010 on here, woo! (not I'm not using InDesign as it'll take bloody ages to learn how to use it properly).

InDesign is an absolute fucking ballache :ugh:

So, only human beings as well then?

This is health and safety gone mad.

I was going to say "member of the opposite sex" but if Dan wants to bum a bloke he's more than welcome.
However, if either of us stoop so low as to bang an animal or insect (inanimate objects don't count) then the one who did it gets the slap.

Nah don't worry, it'll be a girl

Noodle, you have to watch Dan shag his bird. (Who'll be 50 and Polish?)

28 =/= 50 :P (not that i'm going for 28 year olds :eyes: )

Holy fucking shit.
Even if I meet someone who I totally fall in love with and would want to spend the rest of my life with, I am never, ever getting married.
Unless she's got an extremely rich dad who'll pay everything.

Current average wedding cost is actually more like a little over twenty three grand. According to my most recent tat magazine purchase. We have found the venue for our reception ( in the sense that I am besotted and cannot bare to be without it in my life) and my dad was so impressed he offered to pay for it- in the most blaze (I can't remember my accent dealy so that is not firesome) manner I have ever encountered. But that will be around six grand- without drinks and canapes. We have a twelve grand ball park figure- but then that would vary depend on employment and bonuses.

But I am so in love with the reception venue I ache with lust.

If I can get an off-white textured card or something...

Depends how textured you want?
Best to do some hunting around any good quality art shops near you.
Have a look online too.
Watercolour paper might be a good thing too look at, again depending on the amount
of texture you want and they aren't normally bright white. That's thick and good quality and
comes in large sheets that can be trimmed down to A4.
If i come across any, I'll let you know.

Watercolour paper is not wonderful to print on - particularly with an inkjet. Laser tend to crack a bit too much as well.

WHY DO I KNOW THIS STUFF?!

'cause you're a printer :P

Cheers PhilMow, I think I'll be printing with laser, but I do have an inkjet handy, too. Watercolour paper sounds good, will have to have a rake around Hobbycraft to see what kind of stuff is available.

Only probaly with Laser printers is they can kinda be funny with thicker paper,
well the Laser printers I've had experience with and that's 6. Tends to jam or not print well.
I have some really nice A4 satin 280gm "Laser" paper and I've never got it to go
through a Laser printer, I've had access to, smoothly. Always jams on the last
third of a sheet, if it actually takes it in the first place.

I was gonna suggest Hobbycraft, but refreshed the thread and saw your post, so I've
edited this one accordingly.

I have yet to venture through the doors of Hobbycraft as I'll probably bankrupt myself and not be getting married.

Something else: what fonts you thinking of using? The legibility can be affected by texture too

The font I was thinking was a variant of Edwardian Script.

Possibly something nice and subtle for Times New Roman for the addresses n stuff though xD
