Am busy reading a number of books on Carolingian Europe and in complete contrast 'Cultural Politics in Revolution' by Mary K Vaughan, which is even less fun than watching paint dry, but enormously useful to those interested in 20th century Mexican politics.

Just finished Wintersmith.

Any good? I'm a big Pratchett fan, but have never read any of the Tiffany Aching books (even though they are sitting right there on the shelf )

i have read all 11 of them twice and they are one of my favorite fantasy book series however robert jorden died before he finished the last one

I actually just read his foreword for a report on dementia, made me laugh and cry at the same time.

Where was that? I saw his speech on youtube, about his donation, which was fairly upsetting.

That's pretty much the speech he gave. Although you could see that he was having trouble reading it, and the audience didn't seem sure whether they were allowed to laugh or not.
