I agree with you, Eddings is awesome :-) but I did think Sparhawk (much as I love the books) is a bit of a formula regurgitation. Still loved all the stuff between him and the horse though - comedy gold

My fave Gemmel is White Wolf :-) and I've just re-read it, Swords of Night and Day and Winter Warriors too.

For some reason the ending of legend always makes me want to cry - such a bloody wuss

After wanting to see what all the hysteria was, i read Twilight. It took me two days-i really enjoyed it. The day i finished it, i watched the film. Needless to say, as always, the film didn't give the book justice.

Reading/nearly finished The Subtle Knife (Philip Pullman).
Didn't enjoy it first time I read it cause I thought Will was a moody little dick. Enjoying it much more this time though :).

Next up is The Brothers Karamzov (Fyodor Dostoevsky).

it is, as you can imagine, thrilling.

As thrilling as the book I am reading? "Hopf Algebras and Their Actions on Rings". A rollercoaster of a ride from bialgebras to duality and hopf algebras arising as quantum groups...

Its un-put-downable! :D

I never really liked Will in that book either, though I did find it "easier" to read once Lyra/Lara? was back in it
Cant even remember her name  I used to love those books

Currently reading Kevin J Anderson's Saga of the Seven Suns on book 3 I think

Just reading Philip K. Dick's book 'Time Out Of Joint' at the moment. Very interesting, and intriguing!

I was pleasantly surprised with the Twilight series too. Not the best books I've ever read but not half as bad as I was expecting either.

The film is atrocious though  my friend and I spent most of it laughing at the wrong moments :D

I'm half way through Lords and Ladies by Terry Pratchett at the moment.

Pratchett is the one author I always buy when it comes out in hardback.

Haven't got "Nation" though.

I'm expanding my Pratchett collection at the moment, we're looking to move house so most of my Pratchett books have been relegated to Shed-dom at the bottom of the garden in boxes.

Can I be arsed lifting all the stuff off of the boxes? Nope :D

Solution - buy all the ones I dont have - win
