Anyway, started reading Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life today, the first of a series that's being made into a movie by Edgar Wright. Halfway through the first book and so far I love it, can't wait for next week when I can order the next part (or three..)

a friend has been recomending Scott Pilgrim's Precious Little Life to me for ages but i still havnt got round to reading them

I've now finished the first book and I loved it, definitely going to buy the rest next week :D

I would sooner class a graphic novel as a book rather than a comic because it's not episodic. It may have been designed like a serial but when it's all in one they read more like chapters in a book.

Currently can't get to the end of Robin Hobb's Assassin's Quest quick enough! It's amazing :D

I feel the first thing I will be doing on Monday lunch from work is raiding Waterstones for the Tawny Man books.

You know you buy possibly too many books when the staff in your local Waterstones chat to you every time and recognise you

Stephen King - The Stand

I do believe this is my first time reading a Stephen King book, I think my subconscious must have bared his works from my notice after watching the dreadful made for TV films based on his books.

Currently reading: Jennifer Fallon- Wolfblade.

Like a lot of current fantasy it leans heavily towards politicaL skullduggery rather than mayhem and magic. Still, decent enough.

Been reading 2001: A Space Odyssey, getting right into the meat of it now.

The bit with cavemen is one of the best things I've read in a while.

I betcha you won't get all that far... Fool's Errand has some pretty sad bits, and you wait 'til you get to Fool's Fate... that's one of the very few books that's ever made me cry!

ive been pondering whether to buy these.
can you give me a quick synopsis?
and is it like romance or good solid fantasy?
