The hate towards Aliens CM is unwarranted, it's by no means perfect, but it doesn't deserve 4-5/10

exactly! the attention to detail is unparalleled, there are areas replicated flawlessly from the movie. anyone who loves aliens will enjoy it.

Loved the bit when you first get on LV-426. The only thing that sort of pissed me off was the hicks bit which contradicts the films, but due to the whole thing that went on, I can kinda see why they did it

yeah i didnt get that, i suppose they just wanted to put a twist in. my only complaints are they put too many human enemies in, and the alien AI isnt great, online aliens are much more dangerous.

and god damn fucking o'neil, he literally turned 180 degrees to shoot me in the face last time i played the story, then blocked my team mates from getting to me to pick me up

Balder's Gate Dark Alliance 2 is one of the best games ever - try that. Other than that just get the classics because they're cheap as anything nowadays. Personally I'd go for some ratchet and clank, Jak and Daxter, Crash Bandicoot and the balder's gate games. Personally.

Fortunately I still have a lot of games so have all the big games and classics. I do remember Dark Alliance 1 being amazing, didn't know they made a number 2

So, I got Metal Gear Rising over the weekend. It's is a fantastic example of an OTT action game done right (not surprising from Platinum games), but is far, far too short. Still, it's rare that I go straight to a second playthrough after completing a game.

Now to continue catching up on all the MGS games I never played. Nearly finished the first and loving it.
