Guys, Half Minute Hero 2 is getting a Western release. Sure, it's on Steam only, but I don't care. This is the best game announcement in years.

Picked up Mass Effect 2 and Borderlands for $20. Mass Effect 2 so far seems alright. Not sure how I'll do as I'm not a huge fan of sci-fi..
Borderlands is probably my favourite of the two so far. However not a huge fan of the "go there, do this, come back" method of the missions. Also had to laugh that during the mission to kill Nine-Toes, I killed him but then got killed by his Skags, but then respawned outside his barracks at a New-U point with the kill still counting. Saves doing it again I guess :lol:

This is the best kind of release.

I struggled with that style of Borderlands as well, to the point I gave up. It was a little too like an MMO in the "Go and kill these", "Go and get me 5 chicken livers" etc. ME2 however is probably my favourite game. Just that - it is my favourite game. Some of the DLC for it is really good as well.

One of my best mates did actually warn me about Borderlands being like this. I may keep going with ME2, but so far it doesn't seem anything too special.

Love borderlands, although it did get boring at times.

Hard to believe ME3 came out two years ago. I've still not played it. :lol:

I genuinely struggle to find many games I like more than Mass Effect 2. At least for it's time it HAD to be the best Sci-Fi game of that generation. For me anyway.

Have you played the first? I think that is a part of what helped me like it so much, for I'm a sucker for little bit that reference the previous game.

Or big bits. Like Tali turning up within the first 10 minutes. Or Garrus' reveal.

Right, fine. I'll start steam and a new play...

It's too late now! I've started another replay. This is '10 for ME2, and will be #4 for 3.

It's alright.

It's not like "OH WOW SO MUCH NEW STUFF" just adds some cool things like the new race. Useful for some things, awful for others. It drains all oxygen out of a room, so hilarious for say, fighting people in your medbay while the airlocks are open (He 1v4'd using this method) but less useful if you want people in his room at the same time.

Adds some nice weapons (Scrap fires are god tier).

Got me back into the game, and just enough change to keep me interested.

I got close as fuck before with missles and scrap launchers, but I kept forgetting to teleport my guys back off, so I lost 4 people, and by the time of the final battle I just had no way to disable to triple missile launcher. All my fault, and I was so fucking close ;-;
