Truth.

It's either reviews and word o' mouth or buy every game that comes out in order to decide if they're worth getting in the first place, and as awesome as that'd be, would be expencive.

EDGE certainly takes itself very seriously, but i sometimes like looking at games all highbrow-like. I get either mag pretty much interchangeably depending on whats on the cover tbh.

Well, I assume most people know what kind of games they like, so that's a good portion of the market cornered off right there...for example, I like story driven games, be there RPGs or FPS, don't like sports/driving games.

Anyone here ever play Uplink? One of the best games ever.

For me it would be buying every action/adventure, survival horror, RPG, FPS and RTS, and that's just the genres I know I consistantly like, there's still the odd arcade/sim driving game or JRPG that I enjoy.
Buying all of them would be daft, but I know I like my gaming more than the average person.

Oh, you bastard. Now you've gone and done it.

I'm now not going to get anything done for the next couple of days while I repeatedly try to get top on the boards and single-handedly bring the stock market crashing down.

Also, Defcon is still an amazing game :D

EDIT: And speaking of awesome, Quake Live ftw!

Just seen the behind the scenes of Just cause 2, it looks brilliant, the idea of being able to jump from 747 jets in the sky is nuts

New Medal of Honour game trailer

http://uk.xbox360.ign.com/dor/objects/3 ... 21409.html

Looks like they're aping the whole COD: MW thing though.

Also new Halo: Reach screens are out, looking forward to that.

Here's an idea for a shit Facebook group: When I was younger Call of Duty was a Medal of Honour clone.

Anyone here played the latest DA:O dlc? Is it even out yet?

I've given up on DLC. Way too expensive and just not worth the price in general.

I got Stone Prisoner free, it's pretty interesting and adds a nice hour or so of extra gameplay. Not done Warden's Keep yet, but I love this game so I probably will be investing.
