Computer Games Thread
Re: Computer Games Thread
Goddammit Valve, where the fuck is Half Life: Episode 3 already??
Re: Computer Games Thread
Being as it's beta the full specs haven't been released, this is on the site though:
" For your reference, the recommended specification for beta PCs at the moment is:
* Core2 Quad 2.4Ghz or equivalent
* 4GB Main Memory
* Geforce 8800 512MB or equivalent
* 20GB free disk space
* XP 32 & Vista 64 (Vista 32 not yet advisable)"
I have
-3GB RAM
-1TB HDD
-1.8GHz Core2Duo
-Geforce 9800gt 512mb
-Windows 7 32
My shortcoming is clearly in the cpu department, it is a horrible bottleneck >_<
Not sure why there is no mention of Windows 7 on the OS spec

Played it for an hour or two before.
It's good, I like the idea but my GFX card doesn't like it much.

Re: Computer Games Thread
What is APB (forgive my ignorance)
Also decided that after only playing it for an hour I picked up darksiders again. It's painfully easy to kill the simple enemies but some of the big demons are solid as fuck. Get them on their own and you can mage it OK with skillful dodges and pecking away at their health but get them in a crowd and you're fucked.
That said I just got the glaive so it's a lot of fun throwing that at one to keep them busy while nailing another in the face with a sword worthy of Final Fantasy size

Sweet, I blast the minimum specs out of the water.
Except for graphics card. It's alarming how close my card is to becoming really obsolete.
As for what APB is, it looks like a cross between GTA and Playstation Home (I'm assuming, I've never actually played Playstation Home).

Aye I'm looking forward to it too. No idea what to expect though, as all the stuff I heard about it was all the daytime crowd-blending stuff that apparantly hasn't been a part of the game's concept for years.
And yeah, info would probably be really easy to find, but cba.

Re: Computer Games Thread
most of the reviews seem to love it so far, IGN gave it 9.3 out of 10 which is pretty high by their strict standards. some have said the main story feels a little short but im guessing thats because so much has been put into the co-op and multiplayer sections.

it was disapointing, the story was still great but the main fuck up imo was the weapons and armour system
so whos played just cause 2 then? its fucking epic, amazing environment, just flying about in a jet is awesome cause of how huge the game is and some bits just look epic

It's basically like GTA IV tdm or whatever it's called on that but on much bigger scale, and lots of gangs

Looks good fun, but it's UE3 engine so I have no chance of running it on my crappy pc D: I barely run UT3 on rock bottom >.< Bought it off steam back when it came out, they had the specs messed up and said I could run it
I couldn't :c
Re: Computer Games Thread
APB downloader just crashes for me with 2.1GB left. When I was downloading it, it crashed every 200-400MB transferred ¬_¬
