Completed the MK story before.
Easily the best story for a fighter out there. Even if Shao Kahn is a massive cunt.
Time to finish off the Tower!

Re: Computer Games Thread
Just got Homefront on the PS3 a few days ago and started playing it for afewhours yesterday. I was fully expecting the graphics to be alot better than they are. I can't help but feel that they are pretty wank for a game these days. Storyline wise it is pretty alright, although the gameplay seems to be a clone of the recent Call of Duty games. If it wasn't for the game set in a post-world war dystopia ala Red Dawn I probably wouldn't bother.

It's an awesome deal, but I'd rather wait till the Summer Sales, they tend to be around 75%-90% off, I remember borderlands was 50% off in November last year then during Xmas sale it was 75% off
Been playing mount and blade warband, and shit this game is addictive
Re: Computer Games Thread
Aye, that's the problem (if that's the right word) with Steam; you can take advantage a good deal now, and you can pretty much guarantee that there'll be an even better deal on further down the line. At what point do you decide to get off the fence? It's the reason why I haven't bought Portal 2 yet, it'll probably be 50%+ cheaper during the Winter sales.

To be fair I started playing months ago anyway.
Re: Computer Games Thread
Bought 'Dwarfs!?' from Steam yesterday, £7 and really rather addictive. It's described as a cross between Lemmings and Dwarf Fortress, it's got a good few bonus modes too, including a tower defense.
Here's a Yogpod demonstration of it:

Also, a kinda 2D Minecraft like game that's coming out sometime this year, looks good:

You should watch TotalBiscuit's playthrough of Dwarfs?! , it's pretty awesome.
Re: Computer Games Thread
I know I'm three years late but I've just heard Hell March 3 from Red Alert 3 and now I have to listen to Blind Guardian - Sacred Worlds.

Looks more like Dungeon Keeper, but without the dominatrices and sarcastic narrator.
Still might get it though, I love games like that.

Even though I've seen it for £2, I still find myself asking if I can be bothered to play it. It just seems really run of the mill.

I wouldn't bother. I settled down the following day to play it and it was over far too quick. The game was over in less than 4 hours of overall play which puts it up there with the annoyingly short single player of the latest Medal of Honor game. It is very run of the mill in how the game plays out and the only saving grace is the world in which it is set.
