the reason they wont spend time and money optimizing games for PC is simple, there's not as much money in it as console gaming. its not going to change until more people start paying for PC games, and i assume as long as it doesn't improve the problem with piracy will continue to grow, a problem that is miniscule in console gaming. if i was a developer i know id be focusing on the console market too.
i completed act 1 of gears of war 1 on insane. its been hard, but not so hard that im not enjoying it. only 4 more acts to go. i would say im not looking forward to fighting raam, but really there is not a lot im looking forward to...

Kindaaa considering Metro 2033. It is a good price, but... I kinda feel like that would have to be it for me this sale if I did, I'm not exactly flush with cash and should really be watching my money with BOA coming up... :/
EDIT: Fuck it, bought. But that is it for me, I think.

I can now never play that game after watching Alex try and beat a particular level several times. So many times in fact that I can still recite what Mr Russian says at the beginning.
"I know you will make our Motherland proud, the future of Lenin's Metro is in your hands!"

Picked up MIrrors Edge.
I'm aware it's nto going to be the best game ever, but it looks like some stuff might be kinda cool and unique, and taht's all i really need.

I really liked the aesthetics of the game, but the gameplay did not hold my attention despite the meager 6ish hours the game provided. My friend cannot play the game as the weird sense of moment makes him vomit!
I need to fix my gaming PC so I can play the shit I bought in the steam sale

It's boring and shitty.
Re: Computer Games Thread
Played about an hour.
Quite enjoyed it. Reminds me of this Jet Li game thing I played a while ago that similar with the running and jump stuff. Plus looks pretty

Re: Computer Games Thread
With the steam sale I realised I have a stupid amount of games and it's time to start playing some of them. So it's going to be video games week.
Here's the list of the big ones:
Bastion
Batman: Arkham Asylum
Borderlands
Darksiders
Deus Ex - Original
Fallout: New Vegas
Mass Effect
Prototype
Pyschonauts
S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl
THE FUCK DO I PLAY FIRST.

I quite enjoyed it, it was just really really short.
Finished Wolfenstein yesterday, and have to say it's one of the best games I've played in ages, took me right back to the past, as now I want to play Return to Castle wolfenstein
Also, I want that damn PSU so I can splurge all my money on steam games safe knowing I can actually play them!
