http://www.techradar.com/news/gaming/consoles/xbox-720-wont-play-used-games-says-report-1057564

there have been rumours of this going around for the last year at least. for now im taking it as total bullshit, microsoft havent even hinted at a new console yet. in fact they have one more version of the 360 to release sometime this year or by christmas next year. the new console wont be announced before 2014, likely being released in 2015 at the earliest, so any and all rumours about the next console are simply untrue. they're no doubt already working on it, but it'll be in such early stages that nobody can possibly predict what it will and wont have.

besides which, this will never happen because microsoft gain nothing from it, all it would take to kill them in the games market would be for sony to release a console that plays used games....

Tried Day Z. Died horribly inside 15 minutes. Found a hatchet, but bled to death before I could do anything.

The key to starting is:

Never go into Cherno/Elektro unless the server is dead.
Expect you'll die a lot to begin with.
Find a farmhouse/supermarket.

I think I'm going to pick up the following, there's no point in me getting the packs due to the amount of games from them I already have (especially the Valve pack, the only games I don't already have is Left 4 Dead 2).

So I might pick up the old classics, Tomb Raider, Deus Ex, Quake III, Doom etc. Just for a nostalgia binge

Also thinking about picking up Terraria too, it looks fun.

Terraria is definitely a must buy. Kinda tempted to get Hard Reset when I get paid tomorrow, it's only £2.50. Also thinking of getting the Super Meat Boy soundtrack since that is also reduced atm. Don't know why it didn't come with the Humble Bundle tbh. -_-

So, so far this sale I have picked up enough that my hard drive's free space is down to less than 100gb (It's a 2TB drive). I expect a letter from Talk Talk shortly.

Latest steam buys of Terraria and the preorder of Torchlight 2 (which came with the original for free :) )

Torchlight inparticular has been really fun to play so far, and I'm sure Terraria will be too once I can figure out how to play the damn thing properly! :D

I had a chance to play the Torchlight 2 beta and it's looking awesome! Looking forward to it.

Kinda toying with getting the original Witcher though, it's only £1.74.
