It's hardly an April Fool. If it was announcing the third headliner as Limp Bizkit, Korn or fucking Beyonce or something, sure, but not a band that most people have been expecting and a decent amount of them hoping for!

I am also inclined to go with this being genuine given that their tour ends tomorrow and that they are a reasonable choice for a headliner.

I don't really know any of their stuff so Youtube time for me...

I'm very pleased with this, I thought Ghost were stunning on the opening night of this tour. This year will be my 4th Bloodstock and the first time I've wanted to see all 3 headliners.

This year is shaping up nicely. I like all 3 headliners for the first time in ages. In fact the special guests are excellent too. There are 5 bands I absolutely hate, which gives me enough time to do other things such as eat, drink and be merry. Despite those bands, this is looking like the best overall lineup in years. I'm very happy.

Well that's the most meh announcement ever. I'll be watching paint dry later to get some excitement.

There always used to be folk metal bands on the bill at one point, but there rarely seems to be anything of that nature booked these days. Always went down a storm in previous years, so it seems odd that they've stopped booking such bands.

The booking team would much rather fill the slots traditionally filled by those kind of bands with guff like Whitechapel, Chelsea Grin and King810 these days. :(

I'm seriously considering throwing the towel in on BOA after this year tbh, I'd much rather go to smaller festivals that I know will cater to my tastes than throw all my meagre earnings at Bloodstock in the hope they book enough bands I like to make the ever increasing ticket prices worth the money.

Seen that Metal Hammer page doing the rounds on Facebook, lots of people thinking it's an April fools. Seems legit to me considering Metal Hammer are announcing them first anyway. Anyhow, I'll be happy if it definitely is Ghost seems as I didn't catch them on their tour. Again three headliners I would be happy to watch :)

Don't know if I'm reading too much into it but why are Winterfylleth so high up on the poster?

I'm going to remain skeptical as to whether the poster is legit or not, only got to wait until tomorrow anyway.

I believe they sent the subscriber copies of Metal Hammer out too early.

Not the first time that's happened with an announcement.

Pity really as I was still hoping for Emperor. They probably couldn't come to an agreement. Seems a bit strange that all the major Metal festivals have them apart from us.

I love Emperor and Anthems is one of my all time favourite albums. However, if I'm honest, Ghost are a more entertaining live band and will almost certainly draw a bigger crowd.
