I have a feeling the last headliner will be Volbeat. Just a hunch.

Rammstein might be a possibility at some point in the future if the festival grows and/or Rammstein's popularity declines. As it stands, they're way too big for Bloodstock.

Or Tool? Alice In Chains? Deftones? Queens of the Stone Age?
Or shall we rule all these out forever?

Well the saying goes never say never but I wouldn't get your hopes up put it that way. BOA would either have to expand their capacity massively or those bands would have to take a big dip in popularity to fit the size of BOA.

Also unless Rammstein go a bit more spartan on their next tour I'm not even sure they could fit half their stage show on stage. When Rob Zombie played he had to ditch pretty much his whole stage show and it showed :eyes:

Hopefully we won't need to suffer that again. Be quite happy for white zombie to play.

On another note Epica just confirmed for Czad festival in August so could see them coming over.

RZ had been touring a smaller stage for over a year by the time he played BOA (including at Download on the main stage), BOA's stage had nothing to do with that :)

Found this recent announcement. Multiple decent possibilities here. Apologies if already posted.

I'd jump at the chance to get a few of the bands from there.

I know this is coming a bit full circle but, could the last headliner be Opeth maybe?

I know the subbed last time out, but they are at that weird size where either spot seems realistic. Also, since they last played, Sorceress was released and went down pretty well, and is their best charting UK album to date (#11).

I can totally see it being Opeth. Hopefully (if it is) they play a heavy set.

They're boring af even when they play the heavier stuff.

I'd be ok with Opeth, have always enjoyed them live. I actually prefer their new album to any of their old stuff so wouldn't mind what sort of set they played.

I wonder how many of those decrying Opeth as dull live simultaneously revere Slayer's live performances? Some might even argue that the latter have less crowd interaction. To me, it just sounds like 1) People don't like Opeth, or 2) Don't like the setlist they happen to be playing at the time?

EDIT-
I've gone back and checked the setlists for 2010 and 2015. Here's what they played:

2010 Headlining Show

Windowpane
The Grand Conjuration
The Lotus Eater
The Drapery Falls
The Moor
Bleak
Catch the Rainbow (Rainbow cover)
Deliverance
Demon of the Fall

2015 Sub-Headlining Show

Eternal Rains Will Come
Cusp of Eternity
The Drapery Falls
The Devil's Orchard
Heir Apparent
Deliverance

Opeth? That's make it 3 headlining appearances and a sub in between, surely the bookers can be more imaginative....hmmm, actually they probably can't.

Well it would add a bit of melody to Saturday, but I wouldn't be celebrating if it was them.
