One way to make Trivium look pretty damn appealing in comparison.

Heard rumours last night that Ghoul maybe announced tomorrow.

Couple of speculations: British Lion seem to be touring throughout July/August with some festival dates, wonder if they'll make an appearance. Also, Poison have just confirmed some headlining dates with their original line up with more to be announced!

BL were far better live than their album would suggest, so would be OK with them playing.
As fun as Poison would be, they haven't played here for nearly 25 years, and I think only one European date since then, so can't see them being at any festival except Download, maybe Ramblin Man.

I've always really hated stuff like Poison. But I'd still rather have them than shit like Chelsea Grin. Although at least the latter will be prancing about at an hour that's easy to avoid.

Poison would be cheesy as fuck but horribly watchable if they were on good form. Perfect to sing along to when pished :B

Yeah that's true!
Oh wow really? That would be amazing hope your right! Kreator and Ghoul announced would be bloody amazing, stick Epica in there for the melodic crowd and you'd have a pretty perfect announcement! Can't be that then!

Seems unlikely that 2 bands would get bumped up to headliner position in the same year, they probably see it as a bit of a risk so I don't think it will be Opeth, and too recent a repeat. I was considering Ministry, that would make me very happy, seems unlikely to me though, I know they are not as big as they were in the 90s, but are they still quite big nowadays? Find it hard to tell.

I think Ministry would pull a bigger crowd at a Bloodstock show than a Download one so would justify the big step from a relatively low DL billing. Though Ghost were about the same slot last year and they've been touted as potential headliners.

Yeah I think they would, was surprised how small a spot they got at download. That's true, I think Ministry would make an awsome headliner. Kind of suprised Ghost haven't played yet, there was alot of hype around them.

Final guesses before the announcement?

I'll go with: Kreator as Saturday SG, Sepultura added to the main stage, Warlock announced as the remaining Sophie headliner.

I will go with Kreator as SG, Warlock somewhere on the bill and possibly Candlemass too.

I suspect Apocalyptica would be a main stage act. Also, Wintersun are the Sunday Sophie Headliner.
