Apocalyptica doing Metallica by 4 Cellos Sunday SOPHIE headliner?

I suspect Apocalyptica would be a main stage act. Also, Wintersun are the Sunday Sophie Headliner.

I forgot which days we had Sophie headliners :D

My initial thinking was main stage as well, but with the headline set I thought potentially not, like Delain a few years back

Once upon a time, Bloodstock was the place to go in the UK to see bands like Warlock who other UK festivals wouldn't give the time of day to. Sadly, I no longer have any faith in the Bloodstock booking team to secure a band like Warlock (partly because they seem to want to pay as little as possible for bands) and we'll probably end up with some more crap death metal or metalcore band instead. I really hope I'm wrong but I ain't holding my breath.

Final guess is Kreator SG, Warlock and Apocalyptica

Final guess is what i originally said-any 2 from Epica/Kreator/Opeth as co-headliners.(although apparently it's not a headliner announcement today).
If that's the case i'll go Sanctuary and Insomnium.

Why are people expecting good bands? Have you learnt nothing?!!

I'll go for Parkway Drive headlining, Asking Alexandria special guests and Beholder playing a different set on each day.

I'm not 'expecting' a good announcement-more 'hoping'-and let's face it-we are due some decent bands soon surely!

Actually, my guesses probably included too many 'bigger' or 'well known' bands.

New prediction - Kreator, Ghoul, and a random British thrash band from the late 80s/early 90s (you know the kind - maybe had an EP / demo or two that 'did the rounds', and they might have supported a band you've heard of on a tour or two type thing).

Bloody hell, I lived through the 80s and consumed thrash with a passion...and I've never heard of Solitary!!

Sounds perfect for Bloodstock then! Mid-late afternoon on the Sophie stage!

They are pretty good-singer sounds quite a bit like Chris Astley at times(which is one reason why i like them).Haven't got the new one yet but i'll order it later today-had some brilliant reviews.

Sadly, unless the last headliner is amazing, that's probably the nail in the coffin for me this year. Which is a shame as it would have been my 10th consecutive year.

I've never got Kreator, King 810 can do one, and never heard anything by the last two

Very underwhelming

Happy with Kreator, usually couldn't give a monkey's about Sophie stage bands anyway so no real surprise there, but King 810 are god-awful. Disappointed that this chest-beating, attention-seeking fake nonsense has taken up a mainstage slot.
