What I find strangest is that Blind Guardian are the only band to have some kind of exclusivity mentioned on the poster yet other bands are also exclusive but not mentioned

King 810 almost make Chelsea Grin sound appealing, worst band I've ever heard, absolute shit.

That would be ideal, but the chest beating apes they might attract might get angry and want to break things.

Yes all these things do raise those suspicions, ffdp look disturbingly fitting

Inquisition - great addition. A black metal band (which we were in need of) who haven't played before!

King Parrot - don't know them

King 810 - the worst band that has been booked ast Bloodstock in its entire god damn history. Jesus wept.

Im worried by the amount of people I'm seeing responding to the announcement saying '*Tags mates* King 810 and Hatebreed! Literally wanna go for these bands only'. Saturday isn't going to have a very nice atmosphere at all...

Exactly how I feel. They are certainly the worst band they have ever booked, even ffdp would be a step up. Those comments are worrying, but more likely those types won't end up bothering. I love the atmosphere and feel of Bloodstock, I just hope it doesn't spoil it, I'm sure not all their fans are that bad, well one can hope!

On a positive note, Inquisition sound like they will be a perfect Sophie headliner, Black Metal is usually best in the dark! Maybe they listened to feeback, which is good!

I doubt it's FFDP but it's clearly going to be someone equally as awful, I think I've mentioned them in this thread before but I'm fully expecting Parkway Drive to be announced after their UK dates next month. Just can't see it being anyone else at this point :(

Looking at a few comments elsewhere it seems that King 810 have cancelled Download twice. I'm wondering whether they are booked because Download told them to fuck off.

Think both times they've canceled Download it's been because of weapon charges and not being allowed into the UK.

Spent some time checking out King 810. I actually enjoyed watching some of their videos, quite interesting to get an idea of how they grew up and the crazy stuff that contributes to their work. Not the most talented musically and not my cup of tea overall but will give them a chance if they don't clash with anyone else I'd rather see. That's if they make it to BOA! Looks like they put on quite an intense live show too.

King Parrot I really can't get on with and will probably avoid. Checked out a couple of Inquisition tracks, not really feeling them yet but I'm not the biggest black metal fan. I'm sure I'll still enjoy them in the darkness of the Sophie tent though :)

Is it how they grew up?

Or is it a bit like Tim Westwood's gangsta upbringing?

Or Eminem?

Or The Beastie Boys?

As much as people complain about the over saturation of thrash and death this year, if the final headliner isn't a thrash or death metal band then it's going to be Within Temptation all over again, a headliner that doesn't fit the undercard. Most of the suggestions so far would suffer badly, how Volbeat (even with their 1 song with Mille on it), Parkway or FFDP are supposed to attract many fans with that undercard I don't know

I guess I meant more the environmental influences. Coming from an area with such high crime rates and public health emergencies, it's manifested into quite a raw, visceral tone to their music. Much in the same way Norwegian black metal has that icy guitar tone, and hell Black Sabbath's sound was influenced by the industrial sounds of Birmingham. Maybe I'm a geek but I just find the factors underpinning particular band's sounds interesting

After everyone saying how carp King 810 I decided to listen to them....I am just....speechless.

If this was a joke band you could maybe understand why they'd be that hilariously terrible, but they take themselves fucking seriously?! I want to slag them off but words will never do justice to how bad they are.

If Bloodstock books them they will literally book anybody from now on.

When I look at the line up this year I feel it's missing an event/something unique which helps make the fest seem more appealing. The last few years have been good as we've had last UK shows (Twisted Sister, Nuclear Assault etc) reformed/rare appearances (Dark Angel, Akercocke etc) and albums in full (Behemoth, Satyricon etc) yet this year we've got nothing like that (though 810 may fall under rare apperance but for a good reason  ). Would be good if BOA were to book a rare apperance, Sacred Reich are touring at the time for example etc.
