Just to throw a spanner in the works for the lol's

The European exclusives for Exhumed and Repulsion, they could be exclusive for the whole year or they could have of those exclusive deals whereby they are advertised as exclusive until after the festival at which point they can play other Euro shows?

It may have escaped your notice but we aren't in Europe. So European exclusives don't count. :P

We are still part of the EU until Article 50 is triggered and we negotiate our exit from it and even then we will still be in Europe - as are Norway, Iceland etc who are European nations that aren't part of the EU :-P

Donald Tusk and friends won't be playing next year I don't think, a shame really, I wanted to hear Merkel's version of it's a man's world

Geographically speaking, we will always be in Europe. Sorry to break that to you.

Then how come most of the tours have always said "Europe and UK Tour"? ;)

We've always been classed as outside Europe, even when in it. My original point still stands that "European Exclusive" doesn't apply to us. :P

I can find hundreds of these if you want me to.

Gandalf isn't wrong, it's weird but in gig terms we don't tend to be included in Europe. I mean, even look at the exclusives that chuggingpus has posted... Autopsy specifies UK, as does Marduk, but some of the others are "European exclusives".

That could include us, or it could not.

I doubt a band that is doing a European exclusive would bother to come over and do a UK exclusive too. Unless they were actually British.

The UK isn't really an EU country any more, just a minor puppet satellite state of the European supercontinent.

Why not? If they can get that deal off the promoters they'd take it. Two exclusive dates would pay more than just the one. Might as well maximize your paycheck while your already there.

As well as getting out of Europe can we also get out of the USA? :P

Two exclusive dates may well pay more than one but you've got to factor in the logistics - there's at least one flight or boat ride to get the band, crew and equipment over to our little island so you've got to persuade your UK promoter to put up the cash for that or cover the costs yourself which in many cases wouldn't make the trip worth it.

Yeah. But we were talking about a band such as Exhumed that will turn up and play to about 10 people in The Star And Garter in Manchester.

Given the Blind Guardian self confirmation, does anyone think we need a thread called Mods NOT at Bloodstock 2017?
