Jager Stage in 2009

Postby i0th » Wed May 03, 2017 11:45 am

Anyone got a record of who performed on the Jager stage in 2009? I remeber watching Into The Woods play an accoustic set (which was better than the show on the unsigned stage imo) but can't find a list of who else played a set that year.

Was there a Jager stage in 2009? I'm looking back though the old running orders I have saved and I haven't got that stage until 2010.

It wasn't really a stage, it was a bar that bands stood behind to perform. Blitzkrieg definitely played a set there, and I think Pythia did too.

Could be that it wasn't properly billed as a stage and they just stuck a note up each day with who was going to play...

I remember watching Celesty on that bar/stage. They did acoustic versions of their songs and a cover of Stratovarius' 'Hunting High and Low'

Oh yeah, they did!

As for the comment on the line-up, I think it was published very close to the start of the festival.

Celesty were great that year, "we'd like to play longer for you, but we have to go and watch Blind Guardian!" Missed them on Jager but remember Blitzkrieg's set.

Yeah, I remember Blitzkrieg's too. I actually really enjoyed both of their sets tbh. Are they still going?

Went on hiatus, then did some shows last year as the old line-up. Not heard whether they're staying together or not.

I still have my lanyard from 2009 , but it doesn't have the Jager stage listed, sorry.

Godsized and Beholder also played acoustic sets on the Jaegermeister stage that year.

FWIW, I preferred the Into The Woods electric set to the acoustic one. Great band. Shame they're no more :-(

wasn't that the year when it launched and they were giving away all those headscarves and lanyards?
