Could it be Sabaton, do we think?

I think Sabaton are a near certainty to be headlining and I also think Helloween will be announced after they've played Brixton in November. I think Gojira are also nailed-on certainties to be headlining sooner rather than later, but it think that's more likely in 2019. Don't think it will be Priest.

I would love it to be Judas Priest but Helloween would also be superb.

Actually I can definitely see it being Sabaton. "Fan favourite band return to headline." It may very well be Priest though, seeing as they've been trying for so long. We'll probably find out when Wacken announce.

If they do it before a headliner like in previous years that's one hell of a way to mark Amon Amarth's first headlining appearance

It would be their first show headlining a UK festival. BOA might deem that worthy enough. I mean, last time we got announcements we got Venom and Behemoth.

If they make the announcement after Blind Guardian, I expect it to be someone like Sabaton (as headliner) or Helloween (as SG).

Body Count would be amazing. Far better than Sabaton, Priest or Helloween.

I can already imagine the look of malicious glee on Ice T's face as they rip into 'There Goes The Neighborhood'.

Watain and BC would sell me a ticket for 2018 straight away, regardless of the undercard.

Well if we're going for a band approached on Twitter I'll happily settle for the median between Priest and BC and take Suicidal Tendancies

Sabaton would be a bit of a let down for me, after '15 I know they'll draw a big crowd but it still wouldn't be that exciting to me.

Right up your arse? :D

No, you;re all right and I'm wrong on this. Body Count will never headline. They'll be special guests to KoRn or even better, 5 Finger Death Punch.

Just go to Download and you can watch shit bands all day. I just don't understand why people keep wanting to turn the festival into a mini Download.

Totally agree. I never actually said I'd want to see bands such as 5FDP or KoRn at BOA did I? But, with the way the booking policy seems to be going (King 810 as a prime example) it's only a matter of time.
I stand by my Body Count statement though, they're fucking ace.
